IT - Transformation Manager

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Transformation Manager - IT

Reports To: SVP and Chief Information Officer (CIO)

Direct Reports: Yes Functional Unit: Information Technology

FLSA Status: Exempt Position Type: Full-Time

Plant Location: Denver, CO

THE CHALLENGE

The Transformation Manager will be responsible for leading and managing transformation initiatives within the IT organization. This role will involve overseeing the development and implementation of strategic projects aimed at enhancing the company's digital capabilities and improving operational efficiency. The Transformation Manager will work closely with various departments to ensure alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage transformation projects within the IT organization, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
  • Establish and lead a Project Management Office (PMO) to standardize project management practices, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all IT transformation initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including the CIO and other senior leaders.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of 4-5 direct reports, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure alignment of transformation initiatives with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the implementation of artificial intelligence solutions to enhance business processes and decision-making.
  • Manage data engineering and analytics projects to ensure the effective use of data in driving business insights and improvements.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements and efficiencies.
  • Actively demonstrate engagement and take responsibility for exemplifying Onward Energy’s vision and core values.
  • Maintain the highest standards of conduct and integrity in all dealings with or on behalf of the company at all levels inside and outside the organization.

THE PROFILE TO SUCCEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing transformation projects.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in IT transformation.
  • Experience with artificial intelligence, process automation, data engineering, and analytics projects.

THE WORK ENVIRONMENT

The position functions in a smoke and vaping free professional office environment. The role routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as laptop computers, phones, and scanners/photocopiers.
